The Berger Collection provides access to a database of one of the world's pre-eminent collections of British art. All artworks and artists are searchable and a zoom feature allows users to examine and analze each artwork online. An online contact manager and email newsletter engine, allows users to sign up for collection updates sorted by genre and period. The site's robust database backend can be built and modified by Berger Collection staff, via an intuitive easy-to-use administrative front-end, allowing for fast, cost-effective updates of collection artworks displayed on the Web site. The site will soon add feature an interactive timeline, an online art-based module about British art, history, science, economic development and culture. A learning module for kids, called Picture Puzzle, will allow users to examine ways of painting via a fun, interactive environment.
